It’s All About Me
Ten things you never knew you needed to know about me:
- I am 36.
- I live in Bath, which is very lovely, and contrary to popular belief (i.e. those who dwell within the M25) also quite cosmopolitan, and not full of backward people chewing straw. They all live in Yeovil.
- I used to work as a recruitment consultant, and before that I worked in marketing. Now I am a freelance writer and marketing consultant, and write stuff about telly for guardian.co.uk. There’s a bit about that under the `other stuff’ tab.
- I am recently separated from my lovely husband, which is a very long story. We have a 17 year-old son, who is currently quite normal, and a 10-year-old daughter, who has trouble written all over her in pink sparkly nail varnish.
- I also have a chocolate labrador called Henry, who farts a lot and is very licky. I did have three chickens, but they got eaten by a fox. Sob.
- My other significant other is Gay Best Friend, who writes a very funny blog when he can be bothered. I love him as much as it is possible to love someone you’re not related to or exchanging bodily fluids with.
- I am very good at cooking and spelling. I am deeply anal about grammar and punctuation, and get very upset about abused apostrophes.
- I am very bad at many, many things, including singing, remembering names and finishing things I’ve
- In my more humiliating moments, I have been on two TV gameshows, pressed the button to start the National Lottery live on the BBC and sold stuff on QVC.
- I have two tattoos, and apparently look like Emma Forbes. These two facts are entirely unrelated.
